AN OVERVIEW OF
HOMEWORK
Class F’s weekly newsletter is sent out on Friday, and will inform you of any homework which has been set. Class F use scrap books, and this is where homework can be recorded. These can also be used as a scrap book to record any special moments, events, trips, discoveries etc. which your child would like to share with us. The homework is due in on Wednesday, and usually consists of one practical activity, and after half term one handwriting activity. The handwriting activity should take approx. 15 minutes.
High frequency word spellings given where appropriate from the Spring Term onwards.
AN OVERVIEW OF
READING
Reading books will be sent home each week. Please ensure that they are kept in the children’s bags so that we can read with the children at school and change their books.
AN OVERVIEW OF
SHOW & TELL
This is an opportunity for the children to bring something into school which is of interest to themselves and/or relevant to the topic. The children will get a chance to show the class and talk about it.
These are for parents to share with us any special achievements their child makes however big or small. (Please don’t feel you have to fill these in every week!!)
Please note:
All belongings need to be clearly labelled
Remember water bottles each day (water only please)
Please bring a piece of fruit as a snack for afternoon break (morning fruit is provided)
